Assassin's Creed Game Series

If you love sword and bows more than guns, horse riding more than car driving, battle ships more than tanks then Assassin Creed is the game you need. Assassin Creed is one of the best selling action adventure games. Here is the list of main games launched till  now in the Assassin Creed Series.

1. Assassin's Creed (2007)

Available For: PS3, XBOX 360, PC

Assassin Creed is the first installment in the series. The game primarily takes place during the Third Crusade in the Holy Land in 1191, with the plot revolving around the Secret Order of Assassins, based upon the Hashshashin sect.

2. Assassin's Creed II (2009)

Available For: PS3, XBOX 360, PC, Symbian.

Assassin's Creed II is a 2009 historical fiction action-adventure open world stealth video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the second major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, a sequel to 2007's Assassin's Creed, and the first chapter in the 'Ezio trilogy'.

 3. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (2010)

Available For: PS3, XBOX 360, PC, Symbian.

 a direct sequel to 2009's Assassin's Creed II, and the second chapter in the 'Ezio trilogy'. The game was first released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November and December 2010, and was later made available on Microsoft Windows in March and June 2011. The game introduces a new management system: the player can recruit new members by destroying any of twelve "Borgia towers" around Rome where papal troops are stationed and then rescuing disgruntled citizens in their districts from being harassed by guards.

4. Assassin's Creed: Revelations (2011)

Available For: PS3, XBOX 360, PC, Android, Symbian.

The story is set in a hidden history of real world events set in three time periods, and features three returning protagonists; Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in 12th and 13th century Masyaf, Ezio Auditore da Firenze in 16th century Constantinople, and series protagonist Desmond Miles in 21st century America.

5. Assassin's Creed III (2012)

Available For: PS3, XBOX 360, PC, Wii U, Symbian.

The plot is set in a fictional history of real world events and follows the centuries-old struggle between the Assassins, who fight for peace with free will, and the Templars, who desire peace through control. The framing story is set in the 21st century and features series protagonist Desmond Miles who, with the aid of a machine known as the Animus, relives the memories of his ancestors to find a way to avert the 2012 apocalypse.

6. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (2013)

Available For: PS3, XBOX 360, PC, PS4, XBOX one, Wii U.

 Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was critically acclaimed upon release, and was one of the best selling games of 2013. It has sold more than 11 million copies to date. Critics praised the massive open world game play, numerous side-quests, graphics and improved naval combat. The light-hearted pirate theme was well received by critics. The modern day story however, received a slightly more mixed response, while criticism fell on aspects of the historical story missions which were considered repetitive.

7. Assassin's Creed: Rogue (2014)

Available For: PS3, XBOX 360, PC.

 It is the seventh major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, and acts as a sequel to 2013's Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and a prequel to 2012's Assassin's Creed III with its final mission being the prologue to 2014's Assassin's Creed Unity. It is the last of the Assassin's Creed games to be released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Ubisoft announcing that the company will no longer release games for them, except for its casual rhythm series Just Dance.

8. Assassin's Creed: Unity (2014)

Available For: PS4, XBOX One, PC.

Set within Paris during the French Revolution, the single-player story follows Arno Dorian in his efforts to expose the true powers behind the Revolution. The game retains the series' third-person open world exploration as well as introducing a revamped combat, parkour and stealth system. The game also introduces cooperative multiplayer to the Assassin's Creed series, letting up to four players engage in narrative-driven missions and explore the open-world map.

9. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate (2015)

Available For: PS4, XBOX One, PC. 

Assassin's Creed Syndicate marks the first time in the series where the player can freely switch between two different protagonists.It is also be the first main entry in the series to feature a playable female protagonist; Assassin's Creed III: Liberation featured a female protagonist, but that game is not a part of the main series.
